Ferrari matching the race pace of the silver cars and winning .
I bet Alonso is regretting his decision to leave ,especially given the performance of McLaren

Lots of overtaking on the track .

Well done Seb...could this be his chance to silence his doubters?
The race itself was okay but where were the crowds?
Half full grandstands and hardly a soul on the grass banks around the place.
If the Grasping Dwarf let this go ahead, what's the real story with Germany?
This was not a good race for Mercedes.

They had always planned to 3-stop. The safety car forced them in to an early stop and left them to run the majority of the race on the slower hard compound. Ferrari had always planned to 2-stop and(much as I hate to admit it because I cannot stand Ferrari!) they ran a superb race. I'm not sure that Mercedes would have won, even without the safety car but Malaysia is never a representative race as the conditions are almost unique in the season. As a result it usually produces an exciting race and so it proved.

I think normal service is likely to be resumed when the circus reassembles in Shanghai in a fortnight's time.

I don't think Fernando is regretting his move (yet). He must have been well aware that McLaren would not be competetive this season.
//He must have been well aware that McLaren would not be competetive this season.//

same happened when schumacher joined ferrari in 1996 - 6 of that season's races the car did not get to the end of the race.
Bernie doesn't care too much how many people turn up. He gets his cash up front regardless.

The Nürburgring has new owners and they were unable (or unwilling) to stump up.
I don't think anyone doubted Vettel's ability to return to the podium.
It's not that long ago when we more or less new that Vettel would qualify fastest with Mark Webber second. Red Bull have had a fair run of success and now they are having all sorts of problems. You wouldn't believe what is going on in the background.
It's already obvious that anyone of a handful drivers sat in the right car will win time and time again.
With hindsight we can see that Mercedes lost the race in Saturday's qualifying with their tyre choice. Ferrari making a comeback with a competitive car is great news... I don't like it when you more or less expect one driver to qualify first every time. None the less Hamilton never gives up and seems to pull the rabbit out of the bag just when it's needed !
Exciting stuff ahead !
Hamilton winging again already
The 'We love Lewis' club seem very quiet!..and this time he can't blame his team mate!
AS a founder member of the AB "We love Lewis" club, I don't recall him whinging too much this weekend.

During qualifying, when he was clearly blocked by Nico whilst on a hot lap, he simply recalled he "could not remember it" when asked.

After the race he was magnanimous. He accepted that Ferrari had run a better race, called the strategy right and said they deserved their victory. H conceded hat, even without the safety car (which was the start of his problems) he may not have won the race. He got a bit frustrated with his team during the race (especially when they "pressed the wrong button" and confused him with their chatter) but that's to be expected when racing at 200mph.
How can Germany drop their Grand Prix?.....unbelievable, one of the founding members of FIA. A huge shame, but then, even allowing for safety, the loss of the Nuremberg ring has been catastrophic, the grand prix circuit becoming very functional and ordinary.
Bloody auto-correct, Nürburgring
