The odds on AP's mount will come tumbling down as soon as the 'once-a-year-can-you-write-this-bet-out-for-me-please' brigade descend upon the bookies shops. Thankfully all my gambling is done on line and i am able to avoid that particular scenario.
tonyav; both horses you 'drew' made it onto my shortlist (as described in my thread on the National stats) but were passed over. The Rainbow Hunter scored just 8/11 on the stats whilst Mon Parrain did slightly better with 9/11 and was passed over a little more reluctantly as i think it would be too much of a fairy tale were young Sean Bowen to win having just qualified to ride in the race by winning a big handicap last week. That said, the 'National' is littered with such stories (some we don't hear of until AFTER the race) so i may revisit my account and have a small e.w. - currently 50/1 with most firms.
Tonyav Mon Parrain is ridden by a young up and coming jockey called Sean Bowen, this lad is starting to make a name for himself. He had 3 winners at Haydock last Saturday and 3 again Easter Monday I was told about this lad some time ago I have had some good wins with him, he is 17 years old but don't let that fool you, good luck:-)
