Togo It was a good game and the usual highlight for me in the 6 Nations although I am half Welsh but English born and bred.Ireland never make it an easy victory for their opponents and I for one was not disappointed in a game I always enjoy watching. :-)

offensive and derogatory nevertheless!
and TTT..as I have asked you more than once and never been answered..how are you in any way qualified to know what WE Scots think of the English...quite apart from the availability of jocular T shirts...you talk tosh !!

Great game Retro made all the more tense for me, as I had my punt on England 11-15 points win. Wales will be different kettle o fish. Particularly as 'She who must be obeyed' is Welsh born, not a mile from where live, and a Welsh speaker to boot. The air will be blue from one or the other of us.
TTT
If that is what the other so called game is called. Yes.
Pleased to see my favourite current English player Mike Brown (no 15) finished off a try. Very gutsy tenacious and fast player.

Much to the amusement and bewilderment of my fellow imbibers in my local I always wear the England shirt when they play but always the Red shirt when Wales play anyone else other than England. I give up explaining to them. They seem totally bewildered especially as my surname is more Aryan than Hitler. :-(
Thanks btw for your enquiry with regard to my absence. I have you to thank for me posting this as well as some other good ABers. :-)

The other 'so called' game is the biggest global game for good reason.
Now we have some posters getting ticked off for going off topic by mentioning Scotland, surely the ones 'the beefy men' going on about football are also going off topic

lets have a fair playing field eh?

Vunipola was like a wrecking ball Retrocop. Some athlete that lad.

Sorry to go off topic. Perhaps the other game is global because there is a lot of bent corrupt money to be made as a certain FIFA ex boss proved. :-)
Togo
No argument there. He set up the try for Brown didn't he?
Question Author
We needed you back Retrocop, team hooker and all that.
Who are you calling a hooker? :-)
I'm personally not against threads 'eventually' going off topic but it is hardly fair to criticise one off off topic subject matter and not the other.

I like all sports and have been to many football and rugby finals, both great days out ... but as for memories the winner is football. Ultimately there is no greater memory than seeing a wonderful shot hit the back of the onion bag.

Strange to relate and off thread I am sorry to say but I recall not many years ago the largest spectator sport in England was Speedway. Not a lot of people knew that. :-)
Speedway looks like a grat spectator sport. I have to say thought the only time I have watched it is when it is England V an other

The only name I can remember (from the 80's I think) is Crump, he was very good unfortunately he wasn't English
Lol
You could only spectate if you remembered to duck as the riders were in front of you on the circuit laps. Otherwise you got a faceful of cinder track in your face and were blind and pebble dashed. The smell of Castrol R was worth it though. Oooops. I digress.
Thanks boys, I'm £30 better off, the spread of 11 to 15 points.
Why do rugby toffs always bring football into the conversation whenever someone says they don't like rugby?

I had a great mate 'Vic' (is all I can remember) busted up face and his nose was much nearer to his left ear than his right. He rode for Halifax in the sixties and was a nutter. Great to have around in a tight spot. The ladies loved him, best patter you ever heard.
Well done DTC. Spend it wisely on a few noggins of Sharp's Best.

A strange anomaly that I agree. I note a lot of people regard a "toff" as a quivering lipped, cry baby, nancy boy. A Fop even.
Never seen any one like that on a Rugby Field. Now I have seen a few tears from Gasgoine, Rooney and Beckham. :-)
