It's quite simple on-line. The one I use is William Hill; you just click on the selections you want and the various combination bets are displayed on the rhs, where you enter your stake and place the bet. You could give it a try on their website http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb - as long as you don't sign in you won't have committed yourself to anything...

Been no Betting Tax for years.
I just pick the horses by their names.

Ai only do it when there are free bets offers - which there are this week in the Daily Record.

I've picked 5 horses and put £1 on each.

Hasn't cost me anything!

I`ll give that a go - but, apart from the lottery, my only gambling is normally a visit to Vegas every 2-3 years.
As Unsureme indicates, Gordon Brown announced the abolition of Betting Tax in his 2001 budget, with the change coming into effect on 1 January 2002.

Thanks Chico I`m surprised I missed that
If you have a tablet or smart phone all the online betting sites have apps. I use the Racing Post app and it is linked to my William Hill account. It also gives you all the latest news and commentary. If you place a bet for £1 you can also watch online.
