Turnberry - now grotesquely named Trump Turnberry - has also been advised that it will probably not again be nominated by the R and A as an Open venue, because of the "toxicity" of the attached name. Now there's a good reason for being denied that privilege!
I'm no misogynist, but I really cannot see why men and women should be barred from having single-sex clubs if that is what the members want.

There's a sign at one of those clubs saying:'No dogs or women beyond this point'. In some places they're even below dogs in the pecking order:-)
