I totally agree with you Talbot, the decisions were poor but it was one of those nights for the Germans.

Graham Poll writes in the DM that it was a correct decision, acknowledging that the French defender headed the ball onto the German's arm (at point blank range). So presumably he's using the 'arm in an unnatural position' interpretation.

The sooner they drop this ridiculous interpretation the better. Just let the referee decide, as the rule states, whether it was deliberate and, if in doubt, don't give it.
