that's democracy for you, I know it's been delivering the "wrong" answers lately. Must admit that although I think he's worthy he only won it 2 years ago so I hoped that someone else would have got it.

If darts and snooker is considered a sport then fishing definitely is, not sure if it's still true but a few years ago there were more people fishing then following football.

DaisyNonna, fishing often appears in the sports pages of newspapers. I've no idea how it can be considered a sport, either.

It has an even worse argument for its inclusion than darts or snooker (which are sports, of course) :)

Lots of activities require knowledge, judgement and skill. Cutting hair, making clothes, sculpting, wallpapering?

I will ask my dad (who is a keen fisherman) when I see him tomorrow if he considers himself a sportsman.

I mean this all in a light-hearted way, by the way. :) x
