Football is a tedious game with an unusually high preponderance of cheats among its participants, especially at top level. The authorities refuse to do anything about the constant "diving" and intimidation of match officials, behaviour of the type that would not be tolerated in any other sport. The amount of waffle spouted by the "experts" before, during and after a game, the endless "post mortems" and analyses of what is, after all, a fairly basic and straightforward game makes the whole thing a complete no-no for me.

the only bit I like is the Beeb’s show where they have got two blokes listening to the game on headphones and commenting. They do it on the games they don’t have live rights to.....its quite surreal.

I think the problem is football has stepped out of the realms of just being a game and has become a religion and we all know religions cannot be touched.

Love my Footie. :)) Must be a Philistine. In fact I love most sports. Mostly invented by the English anyway. Golf I can tolerate to watch, but would not spoil a good walk with a bag of golf bats on my back.

As NJ says - it's a simple over hyped game ,which is over analysed by so called pundits to make it seem that there is more occuring in a match than there actually is
