Hmm, not quite. He had taken salbutamol, nothing to do with his blood(maybe you’re confused over the EPO issues?)
ZM, slight confusion for you too I feel. His TUE was historical, nothing to do with the current salbutamol issue which he’s allowed without a TUE(as are all cyclists) because salbutamol is not a PED(Performance Enhancing Drug), which is widely accepted.
Granted, he has shown ONE result where there was a spike but as I’ve said previously there is medical evidence to suggest that dehydra might mean that the salbutamol may not have metabolised at its normal rate and has remained residual lay in his system.
To be clear, he has NOT tested positive for ANY form of PED or costicosteroid, he’s had an abnormal ‘spike’ of an everyday medicine that does not enhance physical performance/effort.
