I've never understood football as a spectator sport, Sharon. I've run school teams, I've refereed pub and club sides, I've refereed inter-county youth matches, I've refereed at Bramall Lane and run a line at Hillsborough and I've been 4th official at an under-15 international but I simply don't enjoy watching professional football.
