We are ranked first in teh world at 50 overs bout only 4th at 20-20.

...which suggests we need more balls.
But yes if you look at full test cricket we are ranked 5, which suggests we are better with fewer balls up to a point.
PS- we don't need subcategories for Sport (or other categories) when the overall category gets so few questions
