No spoilers from me...

What a fantastic example of a sporting tournament, played down to the last ball.

Well done to England & New Zealand for a fantastic, enthralling final.

Sip.

I am not sure why you waste your time on Answerbank sometimes, Baldric
The last 2 posts I've seen from you have been the same
Baldric you are not big and you are not clever. You are boring. If you don't care then stay out of the thread.
A fantastic example indeed, LiK. Just wonderful sport and sportsmanship. Stokes for man of the match is well deserved but my heart is with Archer. His face when England won was a joy to see. Well done England from this Irish lass.......x
That last ball, OMG. So exciting but how disappointing to lose by 1! best cricket I've ever seen.
Actually enjoyed it more than the tennis. I got bored at the end of the men's singles final but then I didn't mind which one won.
Fantastic game to round off a wonderful day of sport.
England are the only Nation to have won the Football , Rugby Union, and Cricket "World Cups". Beat that. :))

Pub Quiz question. Which is Stokes most important major trophy?

Answer. The Cricket World Cup. :)) (^_*)
It's nice to hear we'd won. Just wish it was a less boring spectator sport. But I guess the end gave some a heart attack.
Boring,OG??? Lord it was thrilling....and not only thrilling but real sport....x
Good game a fantastic last 30 minutes
Champagne Super Over?

Ha. I might use that one later. watched at a fan zone. Never a dull moment OG for those who follow the sport. I thought we had lost the chance when buttler was out and we lost those late wickets. We had some luck though with the overthrows at the death. well done both sides.
In the Super Over England scored 15, NZ were on 14 with one ball left and their man was run out so why do his runs count at all? They're saying that NZ scored 15 for 1 but surely if he was run out then his run doesn't count? They are awarding it on a count back about boundaries etc. Any rules experts out there?
Run counts because they "crossed" then Zebo....but, very but, they also lost a wicket. England 15 for 0. N.Z. 15 for 1. Seemples.
I have chewed the end off my pencil! What a match. Brilliant.
Why were New Zealand required to get 16 runs? I don't get that bit.
NZ completed one run and then were run out attempting the second - so the first run still counts - hence 15-1 and England win on a countback of boundaries scored during the day.
NZ needed 16 to win - because it was already established that England would win if the sides were tied on 15 in the super-over.
