It's rather pathetic, me thinks and the patch looks messy. After all Philip Stoner, the jeweller, had commissioned it, so leave their name there - it's not as if it was commissioned by Mr. Epstein/P. Andrew or some dodgy Cardinal or Bishop from Australia.

The cover-up is more likely to have come about because somebody HAS paid their advertising bill. i.e. a jeweller might well have paid for the exclusive advertising rights during the match, meaning that the name of a rival firm has to be kept hidden from the cameras.
