the core issue is that soccer fans are not grown up enough to understand that the opposing team also has supporters and that it's ok to have a contrary view without having to wet their knickers about it and have a girly fight when the afore mentioned opposing fans are near by. Perhaps they should study a rugby crowd and learn how to behave.

I also tend to think it's an issue with those unable to accept both teams have supporters. It's an anathema to need to segregate. But if the spectators can't all behave maybe it's become a necessary evil. A terrible state of affairs when folk can't control themselves, or need to.

Sadly i can see it turning ugly.
Now Rugby thats a different situation, mind you, you dont tend to get hordes of drunken yobs attending games.
