While all the other drivers were spinning off the tarmac Lewis was the only one to keep it on the black stuff .
Whether you like him or not , you can't deny that he is the best driver of the modern era and ( arguably ) any era .
Full time , he was further recognised .
Nothing against Schumacher - he was a great driver as well .
However , all his team mates were number 2's and were forced to play second fiddle alongside him and were forced to let him win when in that position .
True talent will rise to the top
Well done Lewis

//Jackie Stewart 2 titles Sir before his name
Lewis Hamilton 7 titles......................//
Jackie Stewart wasn't knighted until 2001, which had as much to his work in drover safety than his record as a racer.
I personally don't like it when sportspeople are knighted/recieve damehoods while they are still competing. It seems premature to me.

Michael Schumacher was a brilliant driver and many believed the records he set would never be broken. Lewis Hamilton has equalled Schumacher's record of 7 World titles - with races to spare! The German won his 7 titles in 308 starts, Hamilton has taken just 264 to win his 7. His win ratio is 35% to Schumacher's 30% and he is 29 pole positions ahead - 97 - 68. What's more, he has 163 podium finishes to 155. Lewis Hamilton will go on to set new records and prove he is the greatest driver of the modern era. And we should be immensely proud of all he has, and will, achieve.
