Wonder if his mate says, "Double or quits?" as he begins to reset the table :-)

Foul, and a miss...
You all missed my link which also explained it.

TTT, "Answered at 16;25." Actually answered first at 15;51 in Mamyalynne's link.
//Foul, and a miss...//

None of the reports seem to go into detail about the foul. However, there does not have to be a "miss" for a free ball to be called. Any foul which results in the opponent being snookered on any ball "on" results in a free ball.
NJ, I think the, "miss" is a reference to the answer's being missed.
Question Author
NJ, from Mamya's link; "The maximum number of points that can be scored in a regular snooker game is 147, unless your opponent fouls at the start of the game which is what happened to Thepchaiya Un-Nooh. This gave him a free ball that allowed him to pot any of thm as a red for a point, followed by the black to start with an extra 8 points. He then cleared the table by potting all 15 reds with blacks, followed by all 6 colours for 147, pushing his total to that all elusive total of 155."

Elaborate enough imho.
