Today's ITV comes almost exclusively from the Champion's Day meeting at Ascot, the exception being the 3rd leg which is the 2.30 Cat. Sky are paying extra places on 4 of the races covered as opposed to 365 paying extra place on just the one race.

The one race at Catterick being a Happy Birthday Ken handicap. Not our Ken though. Some cracking contests on the Ascot card, and though most of them have one or two good things going I have had a root round for an E/W value day. Some big prices to be had on horses that are usually sent off at very low odds. Just about settled on my choices but will wait for any late n/rs before posting. Had a free £5 Acot bet from 365 and had it E/W on Johan @40/1 in the 4.30. Will get back to you. Busy digging up the Begonia corms ... or at least supervising.

Just 'covered' my Liverpool bet by going for a 4-0 win. Can't see it staying at 2-0, just hope Watford don't score - with only 17% possession, they have yet to have a single shot.

Good hit in the 2.25. The bookies are scrambling to offer me cash outs with 3 to go. I could cash out and snaffle a ton.

Blow me ... I had the second and third there @66/1 and 40/1. I only had a last thing punt because you don't get many 66/1 Gosden runners and Symbolise was lurking down in the weights after being consistent all season.

Nowt doing with the nags (one or two late results to come) but did cash out for £16.36 on the Liverpool match - stood to win £25 - in the 73rd minute.

Ahh well said the soul Ken. I was about £35 up on the day and will take that. The mud will soon be flying in a hailstorm and we will be looking for stamina and heart.

Tonight's bet has begun well - Point Louise @ 8s. Have it with Rhyme Scheme, Flying Standard and Nacho in a L15 and e.w. acca.
Could do with a little something to cheer me up after watching The Clarets go down 2-0 to City. Mind you, it was a distinct improvement on our last 4 visits there - all ending 5-0 to the Sky Blues.
