1895 it was 7 - 1 apparently
7 and a clean sheet. Have Liverpool got over their mid-season malaise ?

Blooming well looks like it doesn’t it? :o)
It was only 1 - 0 at half time. Obviously not a great team talk in the United dressing room then.
You wouldn't have wanted to be on the team bus back along the M62. It promised to be a really good match but, unless you're a Liverpool fan, the second half was actually pretty tedious.
If i was a United supporter, i'm not all that sure i'd want to see Bruno Fernandez in the line up again, anytime soon. He appeared to throw the towel in at 5-0 down, with about 20 mins of play left (incl stoppage time). He stopped chasing back, he made hardly any attempt to get involved in the game for a good 2 or 3 minutes and he even appeared to remonstrate with his manager for not substituting him! One of the best players on United's books when things are going well, but not so much when their backs are against the wall. Very, very unprofessional.
Well, I'm a Utd fan and I couldn't believe what I was seeing yesterday. I thought we had a decent 1st half; created the better chances and should perhaps have been in front at the break and wasn't too concerned. What happened in the 2nd half was just inexplicable. Meltdown. If I'd been at Anfield yesterday, I'd be down to OT today demanding my money back. I'm half expecting some jokey excuse about eating dodgy pizza or something before the match, or claims that the half time refreshments had been spiked. I think Ten Haag was struggling to explain it afterwards, as I'm sure most people were. But the fact is that Liverpool took United apart without much effort, it seemd to me. It'll be interesting to see how they respond against Real Betis this week. In the meantime, there is always the helpline for distressed United fans: 0800 707070. :o)

:-))

Would've worked a tad better had the helpline number been 0151 - the Liverpool telephone code.

The last team to beat United were Wolves in 1931, the days of Major Buckley.

Of course, I meant beat United 7-0
They interviewed the Mayor of Manchester after the game, he was asked "what do you think about Mancunian Football?" - he replied: "I think it would be a good idea!", boom boom!
Having seen TH's post match comments, I'm convinced that something really bad happened in the United dressing room at half time, which spilled over onto the pitch in the 2nd half. No urgency, no initiative, no interest, no points! Nothing. Baaaaad!
In the 30 year history of the Premier League, Manchester has won the title 19 times. London 8 times, then Blackburn once, Leicester once and Liverpool once. What good idea would that be, Tora?
