Come on England FGS, ok we are through but it somehow seems like cold comfort. I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty but I do understand the frustration of the fans. Let's hope we can lift it when we play someone decent.

I thought they showed an ability to string things together more in the second half. Still a long way to go though. They still need to find the goalmouth and put the ball in the back of the net regularly.

That was an easy group, if we have any aspirations on winning it we should have got 9 pts. We laugh at Scotland but in their group I think we'd have gone home too.

Austria winning their group has upset my predictions somewhat. I had them to finish 3rd and England to beat them in the last 16, before losing to Italy in the quarters. Now i'm very pleased we won't be playing the Austrians - we'd be well beaten.

Yes, i know, TTT. Just glad it's not Austria.

Either the Dutch or 3rd place in Group E, in which all 4 teams are currently tied on 3 points. We'll find out who we play today.

No matter who it is, we'll have to up our game quite a bit.

doesn't matter really becauuse even if we get to the last 8 we'll have Switzerland or Italy. We'll need to buck up to have a chance against either.

Well, as i said in my first post on your thread, and on other threads, i have us down to lose to Italy in the quarters - possibly on pens...........again!

France v Germany final (@ 10/1) with Les Bleus to lift the cup.

It was a dull match - we both got bored and ended up doing something more interesting (watering the garden and tidying the kitchen). England need to up their game a lot!

Just a thought though, has anyone checked to see if the team are betting against themselves? Seems to be a fair bit of that about right now!
