Rick Buckler, drummer with the Jam, died on Monday. After Paul Weller broke up the band in 1982 Buckler documented their history. He formed From the Jam and was join by bassist Bruce Foxton.

Great drummer in a fantastic band RIP Rick.

I saw the Jam several times, and whilst Paul Weller was (and still is) a great frontman and songwriter, Buckler and Foxton really drove the band on, with subtle and intricate rhythms.
