you only have to play 10 games to get a medal nowadays,i suppose it must have happened before, but it wont happen in this case ,with gerrard out liverpool will be lucky to finnish in the top 4,you saw last night, without him they were nothing.
I remember asking a similar question about Henrik Larsson, when he was loaned to United in 2007, and the out come of that was that he was eligible (he'd only played 7 league games) but decided not to accept it.

I don't think there are any hard and fast rules on qualification these days - its not like the seventies when Bill Shankley said at he end of a league championship, theres the medals lads, if you've earned one then take one.

Lets be fair even in the old days phyisio's, chairmen, directors, Doctors associated with winning teams all got a winners medal, so who knows whats going on now. Its such a 'squad' issue now that probably even the tesa lady and ball boys might be in with a shout - all
of which makes me sick of the present day when even professional pros whould cry when recieving their just rewards - different era and sadly different times
In answer to your question, yes there must have been loads of players picking up league medals after leaving a successful club, mid term.

Even picking up a winners medal with their new club, in a different division!
