Sorry, I'm still confused, Don't you actually know how many letters and words are in the answer? I mean, if you don't, or can't say, then how is anyone else to know?
Is the whole phrase the anagram? i.e. "wherefore be the ix grinning toms" which would give a 28 letter answer. Is it supposed to be a one word answer, or what?

No relation to del boy, rodney or even grandad for that matter!! The sport is fishing - don't know when it's on or what channel but it involves one of my favourite actors! Got it now?????? If not will post the answer for you but always more satisfying if you work it out for yourself, I think. Must admit never heard of the programme - I went thro all the boxing programmes, as I'm sure you have and also all the ones with referee in the title!!! Have fun x
suzytrotter - you've asked for the answer so many times, I find it hard too see how you can say "that's what we think" the answer is! This has been answered on more than one occasion! It's a great shame people have to get others to answer a question for them - if you can't work it out yourself, leave a blank space or have a guess - after all the charity doesn't benefit from your answer sheet having no blank spaces does it?
This may be a site where you can ask questions and get answers, but what satisfaction do you get from getting someone else to answer a question for you?
You must be extremely desperate to get your hands on the prize money - I know the recession has hit hard, but I think this is taking it too far. The idea of these charity quizzes is to help the charity and you certainly don't need to cheat to do that.
