He is no more than a thug who should never be allowed on a football pitch again, total waste of space should put him in a 200 ft deep well and cement him in!!!!!

True: and David Batty, Johnny Giles, Robbie Savage, Lucas Neill, Norman Whiteside etc etc.
Steve:

Football's all about opinions and mine is that Hughes was like a clone of Norman Hunter.

Why should I be bigoted? My opinion's my opinion, but going by your logic, that means that I'm also bigoted against all the other players I've mentioned, does it?

I'm a football fan and there's only one team I don't like but sorry to disappoint you, it's not Liverpool.

seems to me everyone has gone off the point i made about joey barton and are talking about everyone else!!
bernie:

I think it's safe to say that everyone shares your opinion of Barton, but it just sort of went on from there.

What more can be said about Barton that hasn't been said over the last couple of years?

Steve:
"Hughes talent and motivation skills"(sic). Who said he didn't have those?

So did Bremner, Keane, Souness and Wise. But no one could call them angels, either?

I can't help it if you're totally unobjective and are viewing this criticism with your Kopite specs on. Would your views be the same if I, for example, tried to make out that Roy Keane was whiter than white? Of course not.

Grow up, Steve. You've done your fair share of slagging off players on these threads but get the hump when anyone dares to say something negative about one of your heroes.
Don't really want to put in my two-penneth, but I will anyway. Emlyn Hughes "did" Peter Osgood in a League Cup match at Blackpool in 1966. Broke the poor sods leg with a vicious, nasty, challenge. Blantant it was, BLATANT, I tell ya. I'm with you, paraffin, Hughes was a wrong 'un.
