A lot of men do have affairs.
Very few men are paid £5,200,000 a year (basic before endorsements and sponsorships) and asked to represent the public face of British football.
If John Terry wants to be like "all the other guys" then fine ...
... let him be just like all the other guys.
But it would cost him about £10m a year !

If you read the articles properly, Wayne Bridge had broken up with the lady before Terry began consoling her.
But, never c??p on your own doorstep or the doorstep three doors down......
Seems to be a lot of comments from friends and pals - he needs to keep them closer than his enemies
Ms Peroncell is now represented by Max Clifford so he will make sure she is looked after, this story will run and run, look out for her on Loose Women..
John Terry should employ Steven Gerrard's legal team
Terry will step down as England captain and resign from International football

flippin eck does it matter, it's a foottie match not the house of lords. For goodness sake why should anyone be shocked that a bloke who plays football for a living also likes to get laid!!!!!!! If it were the archbishop of canterbury then yes get bothered but for crying out loud!! He's not the first, I know that cos I went out with a first division player in 1975, they were all at it and just cos it's a different decade doesn't make any difference.
of course it will matter to his wife, but why is anyone else surprised or bothered, someones sold the story, they're the guilty ones as they're making money out of putting his family throught the public misery, his wife may have knwon about it and didn;lt want the embarrassment and humiliation but her choices have been taken away from her
1) Part of the reasons behind his sponsership deals etc, was the fact that as England Captain, he was idolised and hero-worshipped. WOuld you want your kids learning to emulate that behaviour? Your boys growing up thinking that it's ok to treat women like muck, or your daughters thinking that it's okay to be treated like sh1t as long as he can buy you a Gucci handbag to say sorry?
2) Any team that travels and works together is a close-knit thing. He betrayed the trust of his team. Whether or not Bridge and his missus had slept, there are lines you just don't cross. Not if you want to keep the respect and support of your mates!!
3) The blokes a tw@t anyway!

Davethedog - News of the World - Bridge and his missus split up last Summer and the affair started in September - just quoting what I read - must be true !
Bobjugs nice to know you've got an open mind on him, can't believe Terry was idolised as much as Beckham, who also had an affair while he was England captain

If John Terry loses the England captaincy it will be England's loss (and his of course). He is the best centre half around as well as being the best motivator and the other candidates mentioned in the press are not whiter than white either. Very few footballers are, the temptations are too great. 'Let he who cast the first stone etc etc....... '
