After all the problems Wayne Rooney has had with his feet, why doesn't he wear specially reinforced boots? Why is it only English footballers who go down with severe injuries to their feet prior to World Cup tournamenbts?

To be fair, the injury he picked up last night had nothing to do with his boots.
When them leather balls got wet and you went for a header from a corner kick yer spine nearly went through the top of yer head.
