... I know, I said it all before!!

But we've beaten some good sides in the last year or so, and (despite what some cave-dwellers my think) we have a manager that the players respect!!

I beg to differ Jatte. Mexico qualify for every World Cup, from tough South American groups. A good test for England tonight. Contained them pretty well - better in the 2nd half - and scored the goals that won the game.

Still not keen on Carrick though.
Ledley king wasn't bad, Milner did pretty well, prefer lennon to walcott though just that bit faster with his brain if not quite as fast with his feet
even though they won the match was so boring, seemed to really drag on. lennon was good so fast. My fave is still crouch, but I do have a soft spot for him too.

Lennon - you're having a laugh!
Can`t be bothered to watch friendlies, waste of time and someone will no doubt pick up an injury and miss out on the World Cup
pick up an injury, ha ha like a cold. I was getting nervous with rooney being on so long, I am sure one of the other team players are going to injure him on purpose before the world cup
Peter crouch....bambi on ice but scores goals,,albeit tonight offside and with his arm....
Theo Walcott is super quick but does not seem able to pass or cross at the right time you could see how frustrated shrek was getting....Glenn Johnson is growing on me too, he actually remembered he was a defender tonight.....

I wanted Leighton Baines to prove that he is good competition for Cashley Cole, but he was poor tonight. Caught too far forward too often..

...and Gerrard has gone stale. Needs to get a new challenge away from Liverpool.
walcott spent most of his time on the floor tonight
Walcott is a waste of space, Lennon did more in his short time on the field than Walcott did all night
and why is it whenever we beat an average side in a friendly everyone thinks we are going to win the WC.........we won't
Agree its Italy and brazil we need to practice against
At least this is one area where you won't get a major disagreement Joeluke, I think a lot of fans would accept a good performance and maybe reaching the semi-finals as proof of progression.

I've always liked Lennon he has a good combination of speed and balance and he just seems that bit more a team player than Walcott....

I do think don Capello has made a huge difference, it was little things like the players who were subbed early changing and sitting in their suits, just has a whiff of discipline which was sorely needed.
Mexico "tough south america group"??

Mexico play in the North,Central America group and played the mighty Belize, Jamaica, Canada then finished 2nd in a group of 6 to the US from which 3 qualified.

"Lennon your having"?? Walcott is a myth even Arsenal fans are critising him.
I like that the Wags arent allowed to join them this year
Also wernt the greatest of goals lastnight apart from the 3rd one. Crouch's shouldnt have been allowed but hey we are not going to grumble if he does that and gets way with it in world cup.
If Crouch is going to be that lucky he has to start every game....
Johnsons goal was a good one though, especially for a defender, I am afraid it's Leighton Who? for me... still it's early days he has been good for his club, I'd be tempted to give him at least another half and see if he's more settled... pleased for Ledley King though... always seemed such a decent honest player, and he's got a steady head, might be better in a pressure situation I was also surprised he can still shift a bit when he needed to.... the one thing JT can't do... And I love JT (I gather the moment his name was on the list all the other players queued to sign up to the no WAGs rule... )
at least we won against a decent team - Portugal could only draw 0-0 with Cape Verde (ranked 117 in the world)
That's promising..... would be lovely if young Ronaldo and co got dumped out at the group stage... I'd better substitute carvalho from my fantasy footie team... can anyone recommend a reliable defender..
