Can a team or manager appeal against an obvious mistake by the ref in a sending off in the world cup as happened yesterday to Kaka?

I believe that straight red cards can be overturned, but not yellows, as in Kaka's case. Yes, ridiculous isn't it??

The commentator said that the officials couldn't look at TV replays. This seems mad to me, as the evidence was very clear.

I believe they can ask for the Ivory Coast players behaviour to be reviewed though as no action was taken against him during the match. This is where the two yellows rule is ridiculous. The ref and linesmen did'nt see it so how can they act on it
