I watched it in the pub. It was a penalty but I thought a red card was harsh.

The red card was for a foul by Boyata on Chamakh as the last man.
Fabregas was felled by Kompany.

Not convinced Fabregas would get in many first elevens of world players...might get a seat on the bench if the whole of Barcelona were injured

However would pick Fabregas ahead of both Malouda and Lampard as he reads a game better and is more effective when forced to defend

Hi rowan,
I think at the moment he might edge in front of Gerrard.They play a different game.The distribution side must go to Fabregas at the present time.
Gerrard unfortunately is locked into a poor side and system and unable to adjust.
You only have to watch his last performance for England.

yes my point re Gerrard not being fit...his head isn't right at present his decision making has been off... something rather unpleasant and petulant about fabregas at times though and no reason for it
