How many different results can there be, if there is 3 football matches and you put a treble bet on. Many thanks

Assuming you are talking about forecasting just the result and not the correct score there are 27 combinations.

In each matche there are three possibilities. To cover each of these possibilities in two matches it is (3 x 3) which equals 9. Extend that to three matches and it is (3 x 3 x 3) which equals 27.

The question is ambiguous/ not adequately defined. New Judge is probably right but maybe the order of results doesn't matter.
An alternative answer is that there are just 4 outcomes - you can either have:
3 wins
2 wins and a draw
1 win and 2 draws
3 draws

Or do we need to distinguish between score draws and goalless draws?

I assumed from the question, factor, that when it mentioned a “treble” that it referred to a bet where the punter had to forecast the outcome of three individual matches rather than just say how many would be wins, losses or draws.

If a distinction is made between a score draw and a scoreless draw, then there are four possible outcomes for each match and the number of bets needed to cover all eventualities would increase to 64 (4 x 4 x 4).
