Mp3 Artwork - How can I assign my own "album covers"

I have many MP3 files either just odd tracks, rare and maybe collected from file sharing, and many of a certain category or genre that I would like to assign to an "album" of there own AND if possible assign some picture as artwork for that album to display when playing. For instance, I have some that have a football theme, some that are great air guitar tracks and so on.

Is there anyway way to do this?

Ta, but you have to pay and I already have a similar ap and a tagging facility in my player. Tagging isn't the issue, it's applying suitable artwork to tags for some of the rogue/same genre tracks I have. Many I want to "appear" to be from one album, though in reality from all over the shop.
