It's a while since I had an ordinary Nokia, but is it not in call divert or something?

hi karen
thanks, but ive just been into call divert again, and still couldnt see where i change it,
What model is it?

oh blummin eck, now youre asking! lol ..
erm .. let me think ... i will be back!
It looks like if you go into call divert and set it to 'on', you will then be given an option of how many seconds you want it to ring for before it diverts to voicemail. I think the options only come up after you set it though - so try switching divert off and then back on again and you should get the choice.

ok.. its a 6300
The setting you require isn't even on your phone! It's on the computer of your service operator. i.e. it's the 'exchange' that knows to ring you for a certain length time before diverting your call to voicemail.

However that doesn't mean that you can't change the setting. You probably simply need to make a (free) call to your phone company's computer to tell it what you want it to do. For example, if you're with Vodafone, here's what you need to do:

Other phone companies should have the relevant information on their web pages. If you can't find it, post again and we'll try to find it for you.
