Problms with Adobe 10

I keep getting invited to, and keep trying to, install Adobe 10. I disable Firefox and have uninstalled Adobe 9 and the installation of Adobe 10 seems to proceed smoothly, finishing with DONE.

But then Adobe 10 does not appear among my list of programs (as Adobe 9 used to) and in the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS list it appears but with no SIZE in MB against it. In other words there is no real sign that it is there. (My system, Windows XP, seems to be 32-bit as far as I can discover.) Ideas appreciated.

What do you mean by Adobe 10? Reader? FlashPlayer? Acrobat?

What my ADD/REMOVE list shows is Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Flash Player 10 Plugin.
Run the flash player uninstaller (it's an official download from adobe..)

Then install flash again.

Thanks, CF. I'm sorry to be a bore but when I get on to that uninstall link all I get (as with so many other attempted downloads) is the choice between SAVE FILE and CANCEL, with no apparent way of RUNning it. When I SAVE it then I can't find it anywhere. I'm missing something somewhere - and don't make the obvious comment!
The first place I'd check is the downloads folder in your user folder or my documents. if it's not there do a search for the uninstall_flash

Thanks again, CF.

Wow, CF, in DOWNLOADS I found ten Adobe Flash INSTALLs followed by six UNINSTALLs. I think I'll re-install Adobe 9. Never had any trouble with that. Thanks.
