Looking in `Amazon` there are many types to choose from, which would be the one if only likely to use once to insert a firewire into the PC tower.

Not sure you need a wrist strap. I have built loads of PCs and never used one.

Just make sure you "earth" yourself before doing any sort of work (touch bare metal on a radiator for example).

I answered this on your last question with regards what to do...

I never use them either, the only time I have is in places that it's part of the rules, and I've never had any problems.
A static discharge can only occur when there's a potential difference between your body and the computer chassis. Simply keep one hand on the chassis while using the other one to insert the part - problem solved!

Whoops!! sorry Chuck, just read it. I hope the Firewire comes soon from Amazon and hopefully I`ll be able to see some video tapes from my holidays on my new 40" TV that I took years ago.
If you do use one, then they are probably all, much of a muchness. After all, all they have to do is ensure you are earth so you don't fry the components with static.
