Ovi Suite

Can anyone please tell me how to delete Nokia Ovi Suite so that I revert back to Nokia PC Suite. After years of using the PC Suite I decided to try the Ovi Suite but found I preferred the PC Suite after all. The only means I have come across so far want to charge me 65$ to do so. I guess ChuckFickens will have a better suggestion for me.....Thanks guys....Tel

Just uninstall the ovi suite from either add remove programs or programs and features in control panel (depends on windows version which it'll be under) and then download and install the PC suite again..

Hi ChuckFickens, I think I have deleted all relating to Ovi but when I attempt to download PC Suite it gets to 6% of installation then says it cannot remove earlier programme and to contact my advisor.
Also I was unable to delete the Ovi Suite Software Updater in the "Add / Delete" programmer......... (and it's not Friday the 13th)

Try restarting the computer in safe mode and then removing them...

to restart in safe mode turn the computer off, then turn it back on and start tapping F8 as soon as it's come on, when you get the boot menu select safe mode and press enter, if you see the windows starting logo you've missed getting the boot menu. (don't worry about everything looking huge in safe mode, that's normal)

Once in safe mode try removing the ovi stuff again.

Thanks......I will try following your advice....One thing worries me is how I revert back when I've deleted all Ovi Suite while in Safe-Mode.....I've only used that system once before and got in a right mess....Thanks again

Just restart the computer and it will start in normal mode again.

I have searched for either Nokia PC Suite or Nokia Ovi Suite Twice while in Safe Mode and both times have found nothing but still I get the message ...."Unable to delete older PC Suite....Contact your tech adviser"
Do you consider installing an ealier programme and then upgrading may work?....Thanks...Tel
