I have put a password on an Excel 2007 spreadsheet, how do I return it to an non password file? I do know the password.

If it has any bearing it was a macro enabled file and that function did not work after putting password on it.

Thanks

"SAVE AS" and then next to the "save button" see "tools". Look at "general options" and set the password to blank.

Thanks for quick reply

Sorry Buenchico I had already tried that but I still have to enter password to open file.

If you go to the Protection option (where you applied your password), it will give you the option to Unprotect document (or sheet).
Are you sure that you saved the file before closing it?

If so, try again, using 'Save As'.
