As it's now nearly 6 months since my husband died I think I should close down his website. He put so much work into it and I feel that I have to keep a copy.
How do I make a copy of it to keep for myself? I have Nero but I'm not sure how to copy the whole website or indeed if I can. I've got plenty of blank DVDs. Thanks.

My techno help has gone out for the evening (typical)

Can't you just close it and leave it on the web to view at your convenience?

I could alba but it's costing me money that I can really ill afford.
Ooh I see your point. Having never built a web-site, I'm at a huge loss to offer anything other than shout for Chuck or Rojash (sorry if I've not mentioned anyone) Ed and/or Spare might also be able to help.

Aw, thanks for trying alba.
googled and it came up with inspyda summat, tried to copy and paste the link but it didn't work. Will give it another try x
found it :)

Thanks alba, heaps!! I'm off to give it a try.
how many pages are there? If it a small amount, and it's simply for sentimental purposes, rather than to actually ever work on it again, you could take screen shots by going on each page in turn and pressing "prntscr" button, then going to (say) a word document an pressing "paste"

Hi bednobs. It's a sizeable site with graphics, videos and architectural drawings.
Is there any way that you can re-post it on a freebie site (we don't pay for our web-hosting thing)?
you're very welcome Chrissa. I hope it works and is OK

I knew there would be a better answer. Never thought of that bedknobs (xx, nicer idea)
Question Author
I didn't know there was a "freebie" hosting site sherradark.
Ours is/was free for two years I think. Don't know how you do it or what it's called though (I know my husband didn't pay for ours because we didn't have any money for it when he first started out). x
I've just had a look - google 'free web hosting'. Good luck, x
Question Author
I always type your name wrong sherr. Sorry.
No problem Chrissa - I get it all the time (also been told that my name MUST be Mrs Sheppard by some bank official!). x

Thanks rojash. I've added that site to my Favourites and will give it a try.

Alba, I tried the link you kindly suggested but could only get one page of the website to download.

Nil Desperandum though!!

Oh, forgot to mention that I received an enquiry from the site this morning which I've passed on to a company who is going to try and win the order, giving me a % so maybe I should keep it "live" for a wee while longer.
