Since I installed some extra memory in my laptop I get this message when I log in "Microsoft Network Inspection System stopped working and closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available". What does it mean and is it important?
Never quite sure what to do about updates that fail - any advice appreciated. The three that failed were optional so does that mean I can forget about them?
Run the troubleshooting and repair your updates as some are corrupt then try to reinstall the failed ones. You should have SP1 installed if you have Windows 7
You should also have SP2 for Vista installed as well if you haven't then that will be a good place to start. SP1 for Vista is no longer supported and main stream support for Vista will cease in April of next year as Windows 8 will be released. You should consider upgrading to Windows 7
Have just checked and I do have SP2. My friend has Windows 7 and doesn't like it. Updates to MSE only started to fail on the 12th August - all had successfully installed before that so I can't understand what has changed to cause this problem.
I had a lovely strawberry milk shake in Sainsbury's cafe today. I watched it being made. Lots of ice cubes were put in the jug, fresh strawberries added, milk added and then it was blended. Does anyone know of a domestic machine which will do this? I have looked on the Internet but can't find one that will crush ice cubes as part of the milk-shake making process.
Thanks boxtops. I had a look at this but as I am not very technology savvy, got a bit confused and when I clicked on the link for help I got a message saying the article relates to a different version of Windows to the one I am using so I am stumped. I don't even know whether I have a 32 or 64 bit system and I know I could find this out but am telling you this so you know how limited my knowledge is :(
I think I've done that OK but as soon as I'd finished it I got the same original message as in my original question ie "Microsoft Network Inspection System stopped working and closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available".
