Modem/router.
Just to get things clear...... I often see reference to a router when I believe it is a modem and visa versa, even on computer equipment sites.
It is right that a modem is the part that deciphers the signal so the computer understands it, and the router is purely the part that splits the deciphered signal up into multiple signals and send it to various equipment like other computers etc.?
