To enable or disable the touchpad, press and hold the Function (Fn) key and tap the F7 key on the keyboard once. A message or icon will appear on the screen, indicating if the touchpad is enabled or disabled.
If that does not work, remove the touchpad driver from Device Manager and reboot the computer to allow Windows to reinstall the device.
Click on Start
Click on Control Panel
Click on System
Select the Hardware Tab
Click on Device Manager
Locate the Touchpad listing and click the +
Right click on the device listed under Touchpad and select Uninstall.
After uninstalling the device, Shutdown and Restart Windows.
Windows should detect and reinstall the driver for the touchpad.
