Which Laptop ?
My neighbour wants to buy one, she is not into too much technology, so is baffled looking on the internet as to which one to get.
Under £400 and best buy please.

If she only wants to do basic office type work, email, internet etc then almost any laptop will do that.
Try to go for a good brand (dont buy a no-name clone from PC World or whatever).
A Dell Inspiron 15 with a core i3 CPU is available for £379 which is a reasonable deal.

Probably think as much about who you buy it from
You'll save a lot of money buying it online
I've had two experiences of returns of PCs
eBuyer put me through all sorts of hoops and wouldn't replace like with like because the price had gone up in the meantime and insisted on a refund.
Amazon said "Well send you a new one now - just sent the old one back as soon as it's convenient"
Guess who I use now and who I don't!

Coming in at almost half your budget ... http://tinyurl.com/82rsesy
Well worth a look, not just for the cashback, but especially if you have a 'trade in ' as well.
I just got a new HP i3 laptop using one of these deals, and it only cost me about £30.

Not so sure about Dell. If she is not into technology and gets stuck with something, Dell's assistance is not renowned for either its prompt answering or customers being able to understand the accent of call centre staff from the sub continent. Problem is, the best item (Apple) is well over the budget. Suggest she rings the chosen companies first and checks out how she is received.
