You need to tell us how many Gb s your iPad is. Then we need to know the size and quality (or the average file size) of your photographs.

My 32Gb iPad holds abouts about 16,000 2Mb photos.

Simply divide the size in Mbs of your Ipad2 by the size in Mbs of the picture file................. this will give you the approximate number you can store...;-).
