When I use ultra cleaner to remove junk files it comes up with around 135mb of them.I delete them without creating a backup but if I run ultra cleaner straight away the same junk files re-appear.
thank you in advance for any thoughts on this

Do you clear them from the recycle bin as well.

If not they may show up the second time as they are in the recycle bin
I've never heard of Ultra Cleaner, I use CCleaner and never have problems like you are having.

Maybe it depends on what you have labelled as junk. Maybe they are protected by the system, or recreated again immediately.

Or just maybe some malware is puttng them back. Wouldn't hurt to try a scan or two.

Do you have an example filename ?

Hi, They don't show up in the recycle bin.
Typical file is C:\docs&settings\allusers\application data\check point\zonealarmdata\ thenXplus 3 numbers\tmp

Ah, ok, the name doesn't suggest much to me. Can only repeat to scan to be confident, and maybe use one of the other "cleaners" folk have suggested.
