ah katburd, that may be it then. Would hate to miss any of them programmes but I did catch up on one today of the man who found his mum after 50 odd yrs, and she had always wanted him to find her. So so touching.
did you see the one last week, one sister was adopted, she spent all those years believing she had another sibling, only to eventually discover that there were two sisters. so the three of them had this lovely get together. Anyone watching must have been reaching for the hankies. I hope they all keep in touch.
i drop anything to watch these programmes, as I love to see the happy reunions taking place even though my eyes swim with tears. Todays one I watched , showed that her mother had died but she found a brother and sister that she never knew that existed.
Warning --keep box of tissues handy .
They do make it look as though the tracing part is easy, but they must pay the professional researchers a fortune, very much like Who Do You Think You Are.
Like Who do you think you are, this is a winning format, and great stories when the families are reunited. some have been shocking, especially where a mother walked out on her husband and child, no reason, no other person involved and just took up a life elsewhere. Then did exactly the same in the next relationship, leaving two little children behind, i honestly don't know how you could do that.
I can see that it cant be that easy to find people, their wonderfull to put that all together for us to watch --fantastic.
Many thanks for that link sir.prize, really appreciated x
