I downloaded a prog and now "ask" has taken over from Google as my home page and Internet explorer has taken over from Firefox as my default browser.
I have removed all traces of Ask from my computer and registry and in internet options I have selected Google as my home page. How do I get back to where I was, Google and Firefox, not Ask and internet explorer.
Thank you in advance

Go to the page you want as your home page in firefox, then click tools > options and click the use current button on the general tab, then click on the advanced tab and click the check now button at the bottom, answer yes when prompted about making firefox the default browser.

thanks chuck
Ask is so invasive and hard to remove it should be considered malware. I accidentally got it during an install of other software and had to manually remove it piece by piece from the file system and registry.
