I've got a copy of Preventon Personal Firewall V2.1. which is about five years old.

Is it better that my free Zone-Alarm which is presently installed ?

I'm using Windows XP

I've not tried the firewall you mention, but when I used XP I did use Zone Alarm Free with good results. As far as I am aware nothing got in or out without my permission. I eventually purchased the paid for version.

I am on W7 now and the Windows firewall is just as good, so I run that now as default.
