I want to copy a CD for my sister. I am told that I have to burn? the CD to my hard drive and then upload it on to a blank CD. My problem is that I haven't got a clue how to do that. All/any help will be gratefully received. Words of one syllable please.
I have the CD in the computer and a blank one ready.

Have you got Windows Media Player?

If so, open it. Rip the CD to hard drive like this:

Then select the tracks, insert the blank CD and click Burn

Yes I have Windows media player and will do what you suggest. Thank you very much indeed.
look for windows media player on your PC - on the top bar it has a RIP button on it , place the CD you want to rip in your drive - then click on RIP once the CD has started to play/load, should be easy from there.

If you have CD writer then follows below steps to copy data from one CD to the blank CD :

Insert CD from which you want to take the data.
Copy all data on CD and paste them into one of your folders.
Exit the CD.
Insert blank CD.
"Auto play" option will come hence from that select "Burn files to disc" option.
Give name to the CD.
Select the folder in which you have stored the copied data of the other CD
Click on the "Burn to Disc".
