sd card recovery solution please

hi i had a 2gb sd card in mydigital camera and for some reason its stopped working i can brng some pics up from the card but not all and they wont let me view or copy them or even delete.so i have downloaded a programme called card recovery v6.10 build to recover my pics but its taking forever and says there is like 146 hours to go and that keeps going up in time lft. isthis correct tha it will take this long to do if so ill let it run its course....or if anyone can help further id b very gratefull.

A camera shop might be able to read it and copy data off it for you. When all data copied where possible, try a format.

Are you connecting your camera (with the card in) to your computer?
If so, are you sure that your camera battery is properly charged up?
If you have an SD card reader, either built into your computer or a separate reader which plugs into your computer via USB it might be worth trying that approach - which obviously doesn't rely on camera battery power.

yes im useing a sd card reader plugged into usb port but it says it is taking or going to take like 146 hours to complete recovery or somein d you think it should take that long
