Graphics Drivers For Intel Motherboard.
6 Answers
Greetings each.
I just replaced HDD in old Emachines 3210 Desktop PC as it was knackered, like me! I do not have a recovery/driver disk for this machine.
I cannot now get more than the minimum (24) setting for the monitor/graphics etc.
The machine has an integrated Intel Motherboard - D845EP1/D845GVSR.
I have been to the Intel website and have downloaded and installed all available drivers/upgrades/whatever without them making the slightest bit of difference.
I installed WINXP-Pro/SP2 and have SP3 waiting, but want to get drivers etc sorted first.
Any ideas on how to proceed please?
Be good!
Cheers.

Install SP3 first.
Then the driver should be here.

With respect, TTG has not suggested a "random download" - eMachines has been a Gateway brand since 2004 (both came under the Acer umbrella in 2007) and it is the eMachines (Gateway) support website that leads to the provided link.
That having been said, those drivers for the J3210 are for Vista.

Greetings again.
It was Mr Fickens who came up with the answer!
I tried everything else, including BIOS settings, although all that was available there was PCI or Integrated: I selected Integrated. Thanks 'bassmanjack'.
What eventually did the trick was found on page 5 of Chuck's link:
Graphics: Intel® Extreme Graphics Driver for 845 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards.
Gawd knows why it didn't show up when I was on there yesterday?
You are indeed a wonderful man!
My thanks to all.
Stay good!
Cheers.
