Seems to me that my kids have changed some settings and I don't know how to change them back. I am trying to copy formula from one cell to another and before that I used to press "control C" and then hit enter where I wanted to copy it and it would work. Now if I hit enter then nothing happens. If I use "Cont V" instead then it just copies the contents instead of formula.

any way I can set the default settings?

when you click on the ist cell you want to copy can you see the formula ?
if so left click then clip copy arrow to next cell left click paste ,then arrow to next cell etc.
If you cant see formula you need to re do the formula.

I am trying to use keyboard as that gives me better speed. But for some reason I can't copy and paste using keyboard. I am trying to find how I can get back to the default settings.

hi Chuck, the link you gave me tells about word and not excel.

I removed keyboard using cont panel and then re-started the computer. That solved the problem. Thanks to all of you.
keyplus, I don't use keyboard instructions, I would right-click on the cell with the formula you want to copy, then select the copy option, go to the new cell, right-click and paste.
Gota admit, I don't use the keyboard shortcuts in excel, I always use right click so I can choose exactly what I want pasted, be it, values, formulas, transpose or formatting.

The only reason I use keyboard is perhaps I have used it for so long that I have got used to it, and then I feel it is a bit faster option than using mouse.
