After downloading some tunes from Youtube I now find I have a file on my desktop called 'Roberta Flack' which has no value and is UNDELETABLE. If I click on delete I'm told that the file doesn't exist at this location-or-Could not find this item or some such notification! I've tried various methods and progs I've even tried editing (very carefully)the registry, that was after making a copy of my registry AND creating a system restore point and I still have that damn file on my desktop. Can anyone help me get rid of 'that damned spot'?
Anyone out there? PLEASE!

I'm running Windows7 Ultimate with SP1 and it's a file of 0 bytes,I've tried what Old_Geezer suggests and found it there but it still wouldn't delete and tried C:\User\David\Desktop and didn't make any changes to the registry but I haven't tried a boot in 'safe mode' yet. Will try that now and get back.
Cheers all.

Are you using Windows File Explorer to remove it? If all else fails then you could try another file explorer e.g. FreeCommander http:// freecom mander. com/ is what I use and seems to cope with just about everything but others are readily available.
LISTEN-UP!! Good news from Grandpappy, yes,I have solved the problem of being unable to delete a file off my desktop. After 2days I hit upon a prog called 'Unlocker' - downloaded the latest version from Hippo and after installation, the file was gone with one click!!
It's a free program by a chap called Cedrick Collomb.
Had I been able to submit pictures I could have explained the problem more effectively, but 'all's well that end's well'.
Cheers everybody for trying to help.
PS. Just Google 'Unlocker' and you also have the program for future use.
